Our Vision

DSC02370fOur desire as leaders is to join your heart, mind and body to God’s unique plan for your life.

It is our firm belief that God's plan for your life is worked out through your membering with others in the local church. Our vision is primarily to build the local church to be a vibrant expression of New Testament Christianity. This is expressed as 'THE CHURCH WE SEE'...

Our desire is to see the expression of Christianity changed across the Borough of Great Yarmouth. We believe that God has given us a sphere of influence, a field to work in, that spreads from Gorleston and Great Yarmouth out to the villages from north to south and to the west of the Borough.

We believe that through healthy discipleship and training leaders we can grow a stronger church that will reflect New Testament church life. We also believe that God has called us to support others as they plant churches as a means to changing communities. This is reflected in some of our overseas activities.

We believe that Christians have so much to contribute to modern society.

However, to do this we must be able to communicate truths that are unchanged by time in a relevant and genuine manner.

Holding to a biblical worldview will challenge all sorts of views on work, family life, relationships, faith, etc. Being a Christian means that we will often live in the unpleasant place of holding to values that the surrounding culture have little awareness or understanding of.
For that reason it is important that our vision not only pulls everyone together, moving us on in the same direction, but that we also engage with people who do not  understand these values. Otherwise, we only further separate ourselves from the world that Jesus loves and died for. Often this needs to be done as a process and with relevancy, clarity and sensitivity.

We are committed to the spiritual health of the Borough of Great Yarmouth and are pleased to work with other churches to bring this about.

As a Christian you are wired to make a difference and to have eternal significance. Our desire is to help you express that alongside others who are joined together by a common vision and leadership.

OUR FOCUS FOR 2009

To grow people as leaders, both in life and ministry.

To continue to share our faith in our secularised society believing that a world without God is no world at all.

vision2

Born again believers are a new breed of humanity.

They have broken free of the ‘Adam’ inherited limitations of life.

They are now living to ‘Christ's’ design for their lives.

Jesus called this abundant life or living to the max. It's about living a life that has incredible purpose, power and freedom to it.

A life that will be revealed as you live out God's unique plan for your life.

We encouarge you to go for it!
