Sundays at Kings

The first thing that you will notice about Sundays is a warm and friendly smile at the main door. Our intention is that everyone will be made to feel welcome and we endeavour to make your time with us an enjoyable and memorable one. If you are looking to visit us for the first time this coming Sunday, please do, we are sure you will feel welcomed.

Sunday mornings are a great time for the church. We gather together in an atmosphere of awesome worship and look to respond to the public preaching of God’s Word. The meetings are led by an anchor person who will encourage body participation through the gifts of the Spirit e.g. prophecy.

sunday1We endeavour to be creative and up to date in our communication of the ancient truths of the Bible. Our meetings are somewhat different to the traditional church service that you may have previously experienced in your life e.g at a wedding, funeral, christening.

Yes, we are different to many more traditional churches but the difference is not too much about our basic beliefs but more about what we value in terms of how we structure ourselves as a church.

We look to shape our meetings so that they reflect something close to the flavour of what is found in the Bible more than holding to religous traditions. We believe in the empowering presence of God the Holy Spirit working through the lives of born again individuals (His church) so wherever possible the meetings allow for open sharing and spiritual gifts to be used e.g. word of knowledge, prophecy, etc.
The reason we have an anchor person is because there is a need to see these contributions fitting together in a way that will not confuse people but will lead to people saying, 'surely I have met with God in this place'.

There is regular  prayer ministry  and  this  is generally carried out
by trained Ministry Team members.

 Meeting together is God's idea

Hebrews 10:25 ‘let us not give up the habit of meeting together….’
Sundays also offer a great opportunity for the Leadership Team to impart vision and to encourage the church to move into all that God has for us. (Prophetic inheritance). It’s better to be there Sundays rather than hearing it 2nd or 3rd hand!

God’s way is that we should corporately gather together with other family members to worship and dedicate ourselves to Him.

Has that become your way?

We believe in the presence of God being manifest when we meet together as a body and the church is encouraged to gather with a real sense of expectation for God to act. We look for God to challenge us and to change us to be more like Him. As well as this we are eager to see Him save, heal, set free and release gifts upon His church. (Rom 8:29, Eph 4:24)

All of this needs an atmosphere of faith and that means we must be a  praying church!

Prayer, prayer, prayer

Prayer is the key to all of the above happening and we encourage every member to be at the 9:50 am prayer time before the meeting starts (10:30am) and to pray for the Sunday mornings during the week and at PG meetings.

Have you made a habit of Sunday mornings yet?

After the meeting we enjoy free refreshments served in the coffee shop and this time is a great way to get to know people more.
